About the Snake Dance
Items to bring: Headdresses, Banners, Flags, torches or other ceremonial items. Folding chairs are also recommended.
The ceremony and entertainment wll last about an hour and a half. The Ceremony march will begin at 7:00 pm. We will pick up the different organizations, nations and tribes along the way as we march down the road to the fire area. The ceremony will be opened by the lighting of the counsel fire. All the organizations that would like to participate will we welcome to introduce their Tribes and Chiefs. There will be a short talk of the motto, purpose, goals and aims, of our program. A story will be told. The entertainment will then perform. After the performance the ceremony will be closed.
